Position Overview

The Team Lead of Production ensures proper procedures are followed by all employees in the area, including safety, quality, and production. The team lead performs roles safely and wears all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including a respirator. Additionally, they expedite repairs and corrective measures to prevent excessive downtime, schedule interruptions, and eliminate defects.

Areas of Focus

The Team Lead Production focuses on appropriate parameter adjustments as needed to ensure batteries meet all specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all machinery/equipment with superior efficiency.
• Monitor controls and gauges to ensure proper functions.
• Efficiently make changeovers to equipment as the schedule requires.
• Make appropriate parameter adjustments to ensure batteries meet all specifications.
• Perform visual/physical inspections and tests for quality and quantity. Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Distribute department work orders (production, shipping, etc.).
• Assist other team members as needed to maximize production.
• Conduct and coordinate the training of new employees.
• Complete daily standard production reports.
• Ensure safety supplies and personal protective equipment are used appropriately.
• Identify unsatisfactory employee performance, verbally notify employees of procedure violations or behavior problems, and inform the supervisor of performance events.
• Communicate various company policies and procedures to employees.
• May give verbal input regarding employee performance during employee review processes.
• Follow and maintain Lean activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc.).
• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE.
• Understand and practice the Quality policy.
• Comply with Blood Lead Health and Hygiene Protocols.
• Other duties may be assigned.
