Job summary

City of Millcreek is seeking a Part-time Production Team Lead to coordinate event logistics and supervise staff for events at Millcreek Common and other venues. The role involves hands-on setup and breakdown of event spaces, managing equipment and inventory, and collaborating with staff and vendors.

You will work under the Production Manager, ensure smooth operations, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting multiple events per week.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Prior customer-facing work experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in event production preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
  • Valid Utah Class D Driver's License with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Production Team Members and production needs for events.
  • Assist with the setup and take down events and AV equipment.
  • Work with Event Manager, Production Manager, and Event Planners to coordinate production needs for all events.
  • Prepare Grandview and all other private event spaces for rentals including setting up tables, chairs, stage, etc.
  • Prepare Millcreek Common and all other event venues for public events including setting up stages, canopies, tables, activities, etc.
  • Follow event plans and instructions to ensure all setup requirements are met (e.g., equipment lists, maps, etc.).
  • Help manage, maintain, and label equipment inventory.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain equipment and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with other event setup staff to complete assigned production tasks.
  • Assist with the coordination of vendors.
  • Assist with event planning including office tasks.
  • Run errands, including drop-offs and pick-ups of event related materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, hospitable, and efficient manner.

Up to 27 hours a week

  • Hourly Wage:** $21.00

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Team Lead supports the execution of events in Millcreek and at Millcreek Common by assisting in the coordination of event logistics, planning, and supervising Production Team Members. This position involves hands‑on setup and breakdown of event spaces, managing equipment and inventory, working closely with event staff and vendors, office tasks as needed, and ensuring smooth production operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Prior customer-facing work experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in event production preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
  • Valid Utah Class D Driver's License with clean driving record required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Environment: Work is performed in a mixed environment of standard office and indoor/outdoor on-venue at Millcreek Common and occasionally other locations. The nature of community recreation and events requires this position to work outside of traditional hours and workweek.
  • Physical: Incumbent must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and handle more weight with the assistance of logistics equipment. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in transitional settings between sitting at workstation to being on the move outdoors in the recreation space; to regularly stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Attendance: Due to the n ture of this position, the employee must be able to work flexible hours including day/afternoon/evening shifts, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
