You will perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of broadcast endpoints, office equipment, and related software.

Job description

The TSASE-TV team is responsible for the support & maintenance of studio production systems and data networking infrastructure. The team supports the daily operations of media and/or live broadcast productions and pipeline of products through various distribution channels. The team also engages in gathering new system/network operational requirements, designs a solution, documents and executes implementation in order to meet the ever changing technology requirements of studio/broadcast environment.

The team members are required to have knowledge of media production work flows, keep abreast of new technologies and methodologies that aid in the productivity and reliability of the content production workflows and have excellent technical and interpersonal skills and the commitment to supporting values and the success.

The Production System Engineer position is expected to perform a variety of specialized and complex activities involved in the installation, configuration, set-up, operations, modification and repair of broadcast/media endpoints, automated office, and conference equipment, systems and related hardware and software. This role will be reporting to the Enterprise Technology TSASE TV Manager.

This position includes the following primary objectives:

[Services and Infrastructure Support and Management]

• • Facilitates and manage technology projects including but not limited to streaming network infrastructure implementation, wireless radio infrastructure implementation, server maintenance and upgrade.
• • Participates in planning for the system infrastructure, participates in evaluating new technologies, in researching network and system configurations for future implementation.
• • Engages with clients to establish the requirements/needs, design & present the solution and propose/execute the procurement/install/commission/test/train plan.
• • Performs infrastructure management / maintenance tasks
• • Performs user identity administrations – Works with HR/CRM/BU to ensure the timely deployment and provisioning of user accounts and assets
• • Performs O365 service administration tasks for Production Collaboration / Email service which includes – o User account / Email account provisioning; o SharePoint administration; o Authentication / Security Management; o Audit / Reports
• • Performs user management tasks for production network.
• • Oversees provision of access to internal streaming services. Performs account administration tasks of user account creation and scheduling as well as onsite service request for streaming as needed.
• • Works with the leadership to execute Asset Management / Procurement across the board for production groups
• • Supports as tier 1 for Network services for production area/workflows.
• • Responds to system/network outages, escalate and participate in collaborative remediation sessions

[End User Support & Production Support]

• • Provides end user production/workplace support including incident resolutions, asset management, patch/upgrade management, software installations/troubleshooting and general Q&A across PC, Mac, Smartphones, Tablets, and Peripherals – creative peripherals includes Cyntiq.
• • Provides onsite end user support during broadcast/media production hours including nights and weekends as scheduled.
• • Manages and supports network infrastructure services for multiple locations.
• • Partners with other technology teams across the organization and also with external IT partners to function as technical liaison to carry out implementation and resolution.
• • Partners with other production technology and media engineering teams to support production network and hardware.
• • Organizes and executes office moves and asset reallocations
• • Performs OS imaging tasks and maintains standards for all platforms for studios
• • Performs preventative maintenance on all systems and equipment in order to ensure optimum performance.

4-year degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR

BS/BA degree in relevant technical discipline

Proven track record providing end user IT services.

Minimum 5 years of experience as support analyst/engineer including image creation/build, OS installation/troubleshooting

Skills / Specialized Knowledge/

• (e.g. languages, computer programs) • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows (10/11), macOS, and Microsoft 365 apps. Image build and deployment experience

Additional Notes:

This role will support the backend systems that production uses; identity management, mobile device management as well as mobile device solutions. Stage technology experience is needed.
