Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a Weekend Shift Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations at our Wichita, KS site. You will ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards on Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM (36 hours paid as 40).

You will lead a team, manage workflow, monitor performance, enforce safety, uphold quality, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing production needs.

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday, 6:00AM - 6:30PM, work 36 hours paid for 40.

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. Position will support the weekend shift, Friday thru Sunday days.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and manage workflow to ensuretimely processing of workand achievement of production deadlines.
• Supervise team members by clearly communicatingjob duties,performance expectations, andaccountability standards.
• Monitor and document employeeperformance,attendance,productivity, andquality of work.
• Assign tasks to appropriately trained employees, ensuring alignment with skill sets and operational needs.
• Ensure theaccuracy and qualityof all output produced within the department.
• Promote and maintain asafe work environment, promptly reporting any safety concerns to theHealth and Safety team.
• Oversee themaintenance and functionality of equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order.
• Provide leadership byinstructing, motivating, and guidingemployees; initiatemerit increasesorprogressive disciplinary actionswhen appropriate.
• Maintain high standards ofcleanliness and organization(housekeeping) in all work areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
