Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, a full-service aerospace finishing provider, seeks a skilled painter in Wichita, KS to prepare aircraft surfaces, apply primers and coatings, and ensure durable finishes. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanding, masking, painting with spray guns, inspecting surfaces, maintaining records, and adhering to safety standards.

Prior aerospace painting experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a painter, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of various paint types, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Job description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM, 36 hours, paid for 40.
