Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of materials, verify inbound shipments, and prepare outgoing shipments in a compliant, timely manner.

Responsibilities include maintaining ERP records, coordinating with production and procurement, and operating material handling equipment. A high school diploma and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory transactions in the company's ERP system.
• Coordinate with production, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management and control.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Ensure the shipping and receiving area is organized, clean, and safe at all times.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Shift Schedule: Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM, 36 hours, paid for 40.
