Job summary

Three Rivers Energy in Coshocton, Ohio is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, streamline production processes, and ensure safety and quality across all shifts.

The ideal candidate will lead a team, mentor staff, coordinate with the Production Manager, and drive continuous improvement while complying with food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising production staff and coordinating shifts.
• Ability to work in a team-based workplace.
• FDA or food industry experience is desirable.
• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the production process in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the effective use of materials and equipment.
• Continually improves quality, reduces cycle time and costs.

• Oversees training of new or existing employees.

• Reinforce a safe culture that promotes an injury-free workplace and assures a safe working environment in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Effectively communicates with management keeping them informed of developments as they occur.
• Monitors the usage of utilities, to ensure efficiency of operations.
• Responsible for performance management of all assigned employees via reviews and goals.
• Supervises technical staff on a day-to-day basis, implementing policies and procedures.

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Reports To: Production Manager

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Supervises the production process in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the effective use of materials and equipment.
• Continually improves quality, reduces cycle time and costs.
• Supervises and mentors' production staff, providing direct technical support and leadership.
• Oversees and/or conducts training of new or existing employees.
• Develop and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Reinforce a safe culture that promotes an injury-free workplace and assures a safe working environment in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Effectively communicates with management keeping them informed of developments as they occur.
• Monitors the usage of utilities, to ensure efficiency of operations.
• Responsible for performance management of all assigned employees. This may include: performance reviews, goal-setting, production goals, career development, succession planning and disciplinary action.
• Supervises technical staff on a day-to-day basis, implementing policies and procedures, evaluating and training staff.
• Responsible for "on call, first call" status at all times unless arrangements are made otherwise.
• Prepare, review, approve and distribute instructions for the production of intermediates or APIs according to written procedures
• Review all production batches and ensure these are completed and signed
• Make sure all production deviations are reported and evaluated and that critical deviations are investigated, and conclusions are recorded
• Make sure that production facilities are clean and when appropriate disinfected
• Responsible for following food safety regulations and company policies is essential to ensure the integrity of our food-grade production processes.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time ba sis.
• Experience in the operation of an ethanol plant is desirable.
• Experience in working in an FDA regulated environment or food environment is desirable.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate employees.
• Ability to work in a cooperative, team-based workplace
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs., work at elevated heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Must have valid driver's license

Other Skills/Abilities

• Ability to utilize enterprise-level and PC based technology and databases
• Problem identification and solving skills and experience.
• Corporate, community and natural resource stewardship focus is desired.
