Job summary

Three Rivers Energy in Ohio is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the production team, uphold safety, quality, and productivity, and align with company policies and objectives. The role focuses on optimizing materials, equipment usage, and processes, coaching staff, conducting training, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
  • Experience in operating an ethanol plant is desirable.
  • Experience in FDA-regulated or food environments is desirable.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate employees.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-based workplace.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs., work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the production process in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for efficient use of materials and equipment.
  • Continually improves quality, reduces cycle time and costs.
  • Supervises and mentors production staff, providing direct technical support and leadership.
  • Oversees and/or conducts training of new or existing employees.
  • Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Reinforces a safe culture and ensures a safe working environment in compliance with regulations.
  • Communicates with management to keep them informed of developments.
  • Monitors utility usage to ensure efficiency of operations.
  • Responsible for performance management of all assigned employees.
  • Supervises technical staff day-to-day, implementing policies and evaluating training.
  • Responsible for on-call/first-call status.
  • Prepares, reviews, approves and distributes production instructions.
  • Reviews production batches and ensures completion and signing.
  • Ensures deviations are reported, evaluated and investigated.
  • Maintains clean and disinfected facilities when appropriate.
  • Follows food safety regulations and company policies to ensure integrity of food-grade production processes.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the production team and processes to ensure safety, quality, and productivity while supporting the Company’s policies, goals, and objectives.



  • Supervises the production process in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for the effective use of materials and equipment.

  • Continually improves quality, reduces cycle time and costs.

  • Supervises and mentors’ production staff, providing direct technical support and leadership.

  • Oversees and/or conducts training of new or existing employees.

    • Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

    • Reinforce a safe culture that promotes an injury-free workplace and assures a safe working environment in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    • Effectively communicates with management keeping them informed of developments as they occur.

    • Monitors the usage of utilities to ensure efficiency of operations.

    • Responsible for performance management of all assigned employees. This may include: performance reviews, goal-setting, production goals, career development, succession planning and disciplinary action.

    • Supervises technical staff on a day-to-day basis, implementing policies and procedures, evaluating and training staff.

    • Responsible for “on call, first call” status at all times unless arrangements are made otherwise.

    • Prepare, review, approve and distribute instructions for the production of intermediates or APIs according to written procedures

    • Review all production batches and ensure these are completed and signed

    • Make sure all production deviations are reported and evaluated and that critical deviations are investigated, and conclusions are recorded

    • Make sure that production facilities are clean and when appropriate disinfected

    • Responsible for following food safety regulations and company policies is essential to ensure the integrity of our food-grade production processes.




Requirements


  • Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
