Job summary

The role emphasizes process control knowledge, lab procedures familiarity, and hands-on oversight of hazardous waste management as part of the production operations.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing or quality control in a union environment.
• Knowledge of logic or process control systems and familiarity with lab procedures including lab testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and organize workflow to meet daily production goals.
• Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise results; coach and discipline as needed.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment; ensure equipment and resources are used per policies.
• Train, develop, and provide direction to production staff; enforce safety guidelines and standards.
• Supervise union employees and manage collective bargaining agreement terms.
• Collaborate with production staff on equipment reliability, 5S, budget performance, and ISO standards.
