Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Denton, TX facility is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead an hourly production team, driving safety, quality and efficiency. You will apply PBM principles, coach staff, and ensure on-time production while minimizing waste.

The role requires at least one year of supervising in manufacturing, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and experience in corrugated packaging and KIWI application. This is a hands-on leadership position within a large, diverse packaging operation.

Qualifications

• One year or more of supervising employees in manufacturing, production, industrial or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead an operating team in safety, health, environmental and quality.
• Foster a culture based on our PBM Philosophy.
• Drive safety excellence through employee involvement, ownership and accountability; identify hazards and implement mitigating strategies; investigate incidents.
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality and production.
• Ensure best practices minimize waste at machine centers.
• Interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality and on-time production.
• Plan, assign and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback; resolve complaints; communicate daily results.
