Job summary

Hire Sync is seeking a Production Supervisor for the night shift in Elyria, OH. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily production operations, staffing, quality, safety, and schedules to meet performance goals.

You will lead and coach a team, troubleshoot challenges with Lead Operators, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and Kaizen. The role requires strong safety knowledge and ERP system experience, including SAP, with a rotating 2-2-3 schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on manufacturing or plant operations experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, production efficiency and cost management.
• Experience with Lean, 5S or Kaizen initiatives preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations, including staffing, workflow, quality, safety, and production schedules.
• Lead, coach, and motivate production employees to meet performance expectations and goals.
• Support Lead Operators in troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues.
• Monitor KPIs: productivity, scrap, labor utilization, on-time delivery, equipment efficiency.
• Promote a safety-first culture and enforce OSHA guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and updates.
• Manage employee training, performance, attendance, and accountability.
• Complete production reports, shift audits, timekeeping, and admin duties.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet customer expectations.

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule
Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour

Hire Sync is hiring an experienced Production Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing operation in Elyria, OH! This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and knows how to bring out the best in their team.

In this role, you'll work alongside existing supervisors to provide additional leadership on the production floor, support daily operations, and keep safety, quality, and productivity on track. We're looking for someone who leads by example, takes ownership, and isn't afraid to jump in when needed.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee daily production operations, including staffing, workflow, quality, safety, and production schedules.
• Lead, coach, and motivate production employees to meet performance expectations and operational goals.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on manufacturing or plant operations experience, preferably in process manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams, hold employees accountable, and build a positive, productive work environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety, quality control, production efficiency, and cost management.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, or Kaizen initiatives preferred.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to spend extended periods standing, walking, and working on the production floor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to operate a forklift as needed.
