Position Details

Title: Production Supervisor, Night Shift

Location: Windsor, CT

Role Description

The Production Supervisor supports Mativ’s Sustainability and Adhesives Solutions (SAS) Function. Responsible for overall performance of the production floor during the assigned shift, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are met. Reports to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Champion safety by adhering to policies and promoting safe work practices.
  2. Maintain a safe, clean environment, educate staff on equipment use, and ensure policy compliance.
  3. Ensure departmental performance through clear communication, planning, and monitoring.
  4. Execute production plans, schedule staff, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
  5. Provide coaching, counseling, and enforce policies, including work schedule compliance.
  6. Maintain quality standards, investigate non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
  7. Promote waste elimination through variance analysis and corrective measures.
  8. Foster employee engagement via regular communication and meetings.
  9. Review production variances and address issues promptly.
  10. Compile and analyze production data, respond to informational requests.
  11. Assist in defining and updating KPI goals; track and display performance metrics.
  12. Encourage cooperation across shifts through effective communication.
  13. Train and develop staff, conduct performance reviews.
  14. Lead continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and maintain cleanliness.
  15. Support hiring processes with interviews and recommendations.
  16. Oversee equipment operation, submit maintenance requests, evaluate new equipment.
  17. Ensure weekend shutdown procedures are followed.
  18. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years in manufacturing, with 3+ in supervisory roles.
  • Proven leadership, excellent communication, mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Access.
Preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP.
  • LSS Greenbelt certification.
