We are the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. We manufacture and market prestressed concrete (PC) strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement, and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates eleven manufacturing facilities in nine states.

Position Snapshot

A Production Supervisor is expected to oversee one or more production lines and be responsible for all personnel and production requirements in your area. Responsibilities include developing manpower requirements, identifying problems for corrective action, and directing a highly trained workforce. To succeed, you will:

1. Directly supervise work of assigned personnel, coaching and supporting their growth to reach their potential
2. Manage employee relations, housekeeping, production throughput, quality standards, safety, and training
3. Conduct pre-shift meetings to discuss safety, check for absentees, assign jobs, and communicate company updates and goals
4. Review production schedules and ensure material supplies are adequate
5. Prepare daily production reports, purchase requisitions, and work orders for maintenance
6. Comply with requirements related to Oracle and Maximo systems
7. Conduct cycle counts and visual plant inspections to identify hazards and ensure safety compliance
8. Initiate preventative actions to meet performance standards

Requirements and Education

• Preferred: Professional or technical degree (2-year Associate Degree)
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience; steel wire manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Proven success in a supervisory role, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and ability to develop a productive workforce
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
