Job summary

Amcor is seeking a production supervisor to lead a cross-functional injection department team and ensure daily production targets are met with high efficiency. You will oversee operators, material handlers, mechanics and leads, staffing, and schedule adherence while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to manage changeovers, and daily reporting on downtime and scrap.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising production teams.
  • Ability to meet production goals and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, motivation and work direction to operators, material handlers, mechanics and leads in the injection department.
  • Assist in staffing and maintaining a fully qualified and efficient team to meet production standards.
  • Assign work and provide technical assistance to meet production schedule and inventory requirements.
  • Perform daily reviews/analysis to determine status against production goals.
  • Lead teams and committees and special projects as required.
  • Daily reporting of downtime, efficiency and production scrap.
  • Minimize scrap and maximize efficiency on each shift.
  • Prepare for and monitor product changeovers, verify line clearances.
  • Pack bottles to support packers at breaks/lunches.
  • Ensure completion of daily and weekly preventive maintenance on shift.
  • Identify and react to various sounds and alarms.
  • Provide appropriate and timely feedback on performance.
