Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Manager to lead a high-volume plant in Pennsylvania. You will drive safety, quality, and cost improvements while aligning with Amcor’s values and the ISO/Food Safety programs.

You will manage 100–300 staff through 5–10 supervisors, develop efficient utilization of materials and equipment, review production costs, and step in for the Plant Manager when needed. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven leadership and results-oriented, self-starter.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily plant operations and safety leadership.
  • Coordinate manufacturing distribution per corporate policies.
  • Monitor production costs and quality to optimize profitability.
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and staff.
  • Supervise 5–10 subordinate supervisors and 100–300 employees.
  • Act as Plant Manager when the Plant Manager is absent.
  • Ensure ISO and Food Safety programs are maintained.

Responsible for supporting, establishing, and maintaining safety programs and policies, and educating associates about safety.Responsible for coordinating manufacturing distribution in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the corporate headquarters.Responsible for supporting and maintaining ISO and Food Safety Programs.Responsible for conferring with manufacturing vendor sales and technical representatives.Responsible for conferring with manufacturing sales representatives to evaluate and promote improved and expanded manufacturing services.Responsible for developing plans for efficient use of manufacturing materials, machines, and employees.Responsible for reviewing production costs and product quality and assisting in the modification of production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.Responsible for monitoring production process to ensure efficiency and highest quality products.Assumes responsibilities of the Plant Manager when the Plant Manager is out of the facility.Manage 5-10 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 100-300 employees in all departments of the plant.
