Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor for the EBM department in Bellevue, OH. You will supervise hourly staff in a 12-hour shift cycle (6p-6:15a), ensuring safe, efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.

The role emphasizes training, safety compliance, and optimizing production performance while controlling labor and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer expectations. A bachelor's degree is preferred and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand operating principles of all assigned equipment.
  • Ability to identify product defects using inspection procedures and test equipment.
  • Ability to learn customer specifications and maintain inspection equipment.

Is responsible for coordinating all activities within his scope of control and for setting priorities necessary to accomplish predetermined goals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Supervises hourly employees performing various production operations.2. Administers all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to direct reports.3. Responsible for on-the-job training of employees including back up operators and completing the requireddocumentation.4. Instructs new or reassigned employees in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.5. Responsible for promoting and enforcing safety rules and policies. Adhering to company safety standards as they relate to daily operations.6. Responsible for the production, quality, and performance of the employees.7. Evaluates employees based on performance set forth in the evaluation guidelines and completes therequire documentation.8. Recommends candidates for hire, promotion, demotion, transfer, or release.9. Responsible for maintaining labor within an assigned department levels.10. Reassigns labor on idle equipment to eliminate unfavorable labor variance.11. Observes production operation within area of control to ascertain compliance with safety, quality,production standards, work rules,and efficient operation of equipment.12. Utilizes problem solving skills and techniques and takes corrective action to eliminate any deviation.13. Reports potential production downtime, scrap production and quality of each machine under thesupervisor’s responsibility and summarizes data from shift.14.
