Job summary

Vitro is seeking a responsible supervisor to oversee all shift associates in a manufacturing environment. You will train staff, direct daily activities to achieve production goals, and lead safety initiatives to meet company targets for safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

You will also handle emergency responses, monitor metrics, participate in improvement teams, and ensure adherence to QS9000/TS16949 standards. Strong communication and team-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop staff and build teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach shift associates; manage staffing and conflicts to maintain teamwork and staffing for next shift.
• Direct work activities to meet production goals, costs, and customer requirements.
• Ensure safety training and safe work practices; respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Evaluate associates and arrange training for growth; discipline as needed.
• Monitor production and downtime metrics; take corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in improvement teams and support quality and process audits.
• Communicate with management to elevate issues requiring higher-level action.
• Maintain proficiency with basic office software for reporting.
