Job summary

Hammond Power Solutions is seeking a Production Supervisor in Sterling, IL. You will lead hourly manufacturing staff, ensure safety and on-time production, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet company goals and customer expectations.

You will coach staff, manage performance, and coordinate with shifts and maintenance to maintain smooth operations. A strong background in manufacturing supervision and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in business or manufacturing preferred.
• 6+ years as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Interpersonal skills, including conflict resolutions, leadership & supervision.
• Computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook (Min. at an intermediate level).
• Knowledge of plant equipment and processes.
• Knowledge of Healthy and Safety regulations and the law.
• Knowledge of Key Safety Protocols, Lockout/Tag out, Personal Protective Equipment.
• Knowledge of employment of laws and regulations.
• Good organizational skills and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hourly manufacturing staff to ensure production schedules are met and targets are achieved.
• Ensure health and safety of all employees.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of hourly staff.
• Provide training and onboarding for employees.
• Coordinate production with other shifts and communicate with maintenance.
• Monitor and ensure safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
