Qualifications

• Four year or two year degree with supervisory experience.
• Analytical skills to identify and resolve production problems.
• Computer competency including spreadsheet, charting and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Create a work environment where employees are respected, welcome, safe and empowered to do their best.
• Ensure all parts are built to the manufacturing plan and customer specifications.
• Ensure employees and team leaders are trained and empowered to meet job requirements.
• Communicate work rules and required standards of conduct.
• Assess employee performance and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed.
• Identify, control and communicate risk in operations.
• Train employees to safely perform their jobs.
• Be a role model and ensure safe behaviors across the team.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production reports.
• Organize and schedule work including breaks, overtime and absence coverage.
• Conform to quality procedures and process controls.
• Encourage improvement ideas and support implementation when approved.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement teams on solutions.
• Ensure cross-shift communication and conduct team meetings.
