Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience; 1–3 years managing people.
• Ability to set up agendas with clear time frames.
• Strong communication, listening, and question-asking.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency with Inside UFPI and related policy training.
• Familiar with Citrix and email etiquette.
• Knowledge of Precise Plant Quality Program and quality issue troubleshooting.
• Detail-oriented with double-check systems.
• Organized with routine yet flexible when needed.
• Commitment to safety and JDA/JSA practices.
• Experience with 5S and TPM CI principles.
• Knowledge of machine audits and LOTO safety.
• Maintenance of standard work instructions.
• Ability to give daily feedback and conduct reviews.

Responsibilities

• Manages the production operation of multiple departments and shifts.
• Leads a group of employees, driving productivity.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance of individuals and programs.
• Coaches and counsels employees.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Communicates with employees and management.
• Controls cost and profitability of the department.
• Manages department inventory.
• Drives continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Prepares reports and maintains records.
• Participates in Safety Committee and safety standards compliance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• If in Treating Department, handles hazardous material procedures.
• May drive forklift to move material in production area.
• Performs other duties as required.
