Job summary

Seal- in New York seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, coach Production Team Leads and Associates, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will drive performance through KPI boards, staff development, attendance management, and continuous improvement initiatives, aligning with customer requirements and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with business systems software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven leadership, delegation, coaching, and performance management skills.
• 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and multiple business needs.
• Willingness to work within changing priorities with a positive, solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable (LMA).
• Vet, select, and onboard production team members.
• Coach, develop, and support Production Team Leads to ensure clear expectations and strong team performance.
• Monitor efficiency, productivity, and labor performance.
• Provide coaching and counseling when performance expectations are not met.
• Ensure training and cross-training are provided to production employees.
• Ensure master production schedule is followed and priorities communicated.
• Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Drive production performance through KPI boards and 5S.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor attendance, approve overtime and time records.
• Monitor plant productivity and ensure on-time shipment goals and customer requirements.
• Escalate material, manpower, equipment, and production issues as needed.
