Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Title: Production Supervisor - Food/Packaging (THIRD SHIFT 9pm-5am Sunday-Friday)

Location: Edison, New Jersey - ON SITE

Salary:

$70,000-$75,000/Year + Bonus and Benefits

Requirements:

• 4+ Years of Experience in a Food and Beverage Manufacturing Plant.
• Strong understanding of SQF/GMP and HACCP.
• Experience with large teams, high-speed machinery, and supervising employees.
• Ability to lead a team and work closely with the Plant Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

• Plan and coordinate production schedules, ensuring adherence to specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor and maintain machine and equipment performance for optimal efficiency.
• Lead production employees to ensure a safe and high-quality output.
• Implement and ensure compliance with operational, safety, sanitation, and food safety procedures (e.g., GMP, HACCP, SQF).
• Coach and mentor employees on safety and performance standards.
• Address issues such as absenteeism, waste, and product quality.
• Collaborate with maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee record-keeping for cost accounting and compliance.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and enforce corrective measures.
• Provide training, cross-training, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Foster positive morale and communication among employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervise 30-40 hourly production employees.
• Responsible for training, assigning tasks, appraising performance, resolving issues, and enforcing policies.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or 4+ years related experience; or a combination of both.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, quality assurance, and plant safety programs.
• Proven leadership, conflict management, and decision-making abilities.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English preferred).
