Supervises the daily activities of an assigned production area to ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost, waste, and delivery objectives are achieved. Coordinates work schedules, staffing needs, and production priorities to maximize efficiency and maintain workflow. Provides work direction, coaching, and support to production team members while monitoring performance metrics and process effectiveness. Identifies production issues, troubleshoots root causes, and implements corrective actions to improve operational performance. Supports employee training, onboarding, and development activities while ensuring compliance with safety policies, quality standards, work instructions, and company procedures. Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee may be required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is typical of most shop environments, not climate-controlled and impacted by outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting. Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE. May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
