Job summary

E-ONE is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team in the manufacture and assembly of custom and commercial fire trucks. The role emphasizes meeting production schedules, cost targets, and quality standards while applying lean methods to improve safety, efficiency, and processes.

The supervisor will coordinate daily assignments, ensure regulatory compliance, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with multiple departments to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in vehicle production or custom manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
• Excellent communication skills and team-building abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as NFPA, FAA, OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign hourly production personnel to meet production commitments and cycle times.
• Ensure quality, regulatory and ISO requirements are met; take action to maintain compliance.
• Review department work for technical accuracy against engineering documents and BOMs.
• Lead safety and environmental compliance within the department; participate in safety initiatives.
• Maintain attendance records and enforce company policies.
• Provide technical guidance for problem resolution; collaborate with Materials, Engineering, and Sales.
• Support staffing decisions and participate in area budget discussions.
• Lead training and development of department staff and maintain qualification matrices.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean tools and Kaizen activities.
