Fire Truck Build Project Lead

Job summary

E-ONE, part of Terex Corporation, seeks a Technical Project Specialist II to oversee the build of custom fire trucks and help design/configure early-stage specifications, then manage the project through the build process.

You will liaise between the sales team, customers, engineering and manufacturing, review orders for conformance, and support prebuild meetings and inspections to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ work experience with proven track record of outstanding customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales layout drawings.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in cross-functional environments with design and production teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality customer service.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Open-minded to new technologies and cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming orders for completeness and conformance to requirements (NFPA/ULC).
• Facilitate prebuild meetings with dealers and customers with staff support.
• Resolve engineering order review questions with dealers.
• Coordinate and participate in final inspections and delivery with dealers and customers.
• Review change orders for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with company requirements.
• Coordinate communications concerning orders among dealer, customer, sales, engineering, production, purchasing and finance.
• Inspect unit before dealer and customer arrival to ensure build accuracy.
• Interact with customers and other departments, managers, vendors, etc.
• Perform or assist with operations to maintain workflow and production requirements.
