Job summary

Ferrara/KME, part of Terex Corporation, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a team in manufacturing and assembling high-quality fire and rescue vehicles. You will drive production schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and guide continuous improvement across the department.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role, with hands-on expertise in manufacturing processes and lean methods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Practical experience in electrical, mechanical, welding, or metal fabrication; vehicle production or custom manufacturing is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles; ability to implement continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal/written communication; strong team building and conflict resolution; proficiency with company systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly production personnel to meet schedules and cycle time goals.
• Ensure quality, regulatory and ISO requirements are met; stop production if needed to maintain standards.
• Review department work for technical accuracy against design documents and BOMs.
• Lead safety and environmental compliance; participate in safety improvement activities.
• Maintain attendance records and enforce company policies; manage employee relations.
• Provide technical input for problem resolution; liaise with Materials, Engineering, Sales, Product Management.
• Assist in staffing decisions and budgeting for personnel and equipment.
• Train and develop department personnel; manage qualification and training matrices.
• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management); participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping.
