Job summary

Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television seeks a Production Supervisor to provide administrative support for high-volume student productions. The role acts as a liaison among students, faculty, and university departments to ensure safe, high-quality productions within academic guidelines.

The ideal candidate coordinates approvals, reviews compliance with policies, and supports events and cross-functional collaboration across LMU’s SFTV facilities.

Qualifications

• Typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and simultaneously on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with student project approvals and oversight.
• Hold or participate in approval meetings and conduct project approvals as required.
• Verify productions meet requirements ahead of filming approval.
• Ensure implementation of production safety guidelines on student productions.
• Coordinate, schedule, and follow up on student production activity.
• Assist in coordination and organization of events and public screens.
• Represent LMU within the community and at external events.
• Manage a department with 12+ full-time staff and 100+ student workers.
