Job summary

GAF in Arkadelphia, AR is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shift operations across process, packaging, maintenance, and yard teams. You will lead safety, quality, and productivity through direct supervision and coordination of production.

This role requires hands-on leadership, accountability for meeting production targets, continuous improvement, and strong problem-solving to minimize downtime while maintaining product integrity.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years as a production supervisor OR 5 years as a lead operator in an industrial manufacturing environment OR 1 year of supervisory experience with a completed bachelor's degree.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or associated fields preferred.
• Experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive productivity and continuous improvement through goals, training, and machine operation within specifications.
• Maximize production efficiencies and material usage while ensuring safety and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues affecting run rates, downtime, or quality.
• Maintain safe workplace, monitor safety compliance, and communicate deficiencies.
• Ensure product quality and manage audits with QA feedback to crew.
• Participate in filling open operator positions and interviewing new production personnel.
• Support communications about bonus programs and address attendance issues.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and timely approval of timecards.
