Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead line personnel in safe, quality production. You will coach teams, set schedules, and ensure compliance with EH&S requirements while reporting to the Production Manager.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement using Lean or Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate, and engage teams while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the promotion of safe work practices.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and production processes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and standard business software applications.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all production activities for assigned lines to meet or exceed specifications and quality requirements.
• Establish work schedules, assignments, and production requirements in coordination with the Production Manager.
• Observe and monitor performance; assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Interpret production specifications and determine acceptability of in-process production.
• Support Maintenance and Engineering activities as needed.
• Maintain communication with Operations Management to ensure understanding of production requirements.
• Advise and counsel Production team members, apply progressive discipline when warranted.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe, accident-free work environment.
