Location Description

Responsibilities

Position Summary: This role requires strict adherence to safety work rules and a commitment to safety as a core value. The incumbent ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality to minimize product and process variability, and maintains regulatory compliance.

The position is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in production by preparing work assignments, equipment, monitoring standards, enforcing policies, and supervising employees.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to safety policies and regulations.
  2. Manage line equipment, personnel, and raw materials to meet production schedules.
  3. Monitor safety and quality standards during production.
  4. Identify problems, facilitate meetings, and implement solutions.
  5. Supervise employees, enforce policies, initiate disciplinary actions, and evaluate performance.
  6. Conduct line tours and ensure standard work practices.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely paperwork.
  8. Communicate with management regarding employee and production status.
  9. Coordinate maintenance with production needs and follow up on effectiveness.
  10. Lead safety training and ensure employees have necessary safety equipment.
  11. Promote teamwork and facilitate cross-functional improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.
  12. Follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and report conditions affecting safety or quality.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of company policies, facility processes, and relevant laws/regulations.
  • Experience supervising and coaching employees.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, including safety instructions and emergency communication.

Language Skills: Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documents, and present information effectively.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math, ratios, percentages, and data interpretation.

Reasoning Ability: Problem-solving skills to handle practical issues with limited standardization.

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations: As required for the role.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Meet production deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, SAP/TRM software.
  • Facilitate team meetings and foster continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $59,423 - $83,191 per year.
