Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in production by performing tasks such as preparing work assignments, equipment, ensuring quality standards, enforcing policies, and supervising employees. It also involves complying with safety work rules at all times and reinforcing Safety as a Core Value, ensuring all policies related to Food Safety & Quality are followed, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to safety policies and procedures and incorporating safety and health in all tasks.
  • Manage line equipment, employees, and raw materials to meet production schedules through planning and anticipation of needs.
  • Monitor production and employees to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Identify problems, coordinate meetings, and implement solutions.
  • Supervise employees, enforce policies, initiate disciplinary actions, and evaluate performance.
  • Conduct line tours, ensure paperwork accuracy, and communicate with management about employee and production status.
  • Coordinate production schedules with maintenance and follow up on maintenance effectiveness.
  • Lead safety training and ensure all employees have required safety equipment.
  • Promote teamwork and facilitate cross-functional teams to improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions, report safety or quality issues, and adhere to GMPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of company policies, facility processes, relevant laws, and supervision skills.

Communication Skills

Effective communication in basic English (verbal and written) for safety instructions and emergency situations.

Language Skills

Ability to interpret and produce reports, manuals, and present information effectively.

Mathematical Skills

Proficiency in basic math, including calculations, ratios, and graph interpretation.

Reasoning Ability

Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions in various forms.

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations

Specific licenses or certificates as required.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to meet production timelines, computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, SAP/TRM), facilitate meetings, foster continuous improvement, and effective interpersonal skills.
