Job summary

Pures Food Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Shift Supervisor to oversee all packaging lines and supervise staff under the shift supervisor. You will enforce safety policies, track attendance, and ensure equipment is operational while maintaining food safety standards.

You will coordinate with management to optimize production, train operators, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication and FDA policy knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience directing employees and operating and diagnosing packaging equipment.
• Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management.
• Knowledge of FDA guidelines and company policies; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.
• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance.
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination.
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible.
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies.
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible.
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition.
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency.
• Ensure quality guidelines for products are followed.
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines.
• Assist with Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain LOTO certification.
• Review and assist with all quality control documents.
• Ensure Food Safety of Production.
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily basis.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management
