Position at Pilgrim's: Production Supervisor (2nd Processing) - 3rd Shift

This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest productivity levels in a cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor must also ensure all reporting requirements are met for their area of supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Train employees and foster an environment that enables maximum quality and productivity performance.
• Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machines to optimize departmental operations, adhering to safety, quality, and company standards.
• Manage employee performance, providing positive and corrective feedback as needed.
• Promote goodwill through proactive communication and employee involvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for quality improvement, cost reduction, method enhancement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote safety awareness and practices within the work area.

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in the poultry or food industry is a plus.
• Leadership experience managing 20 or more employees.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Availability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED; college degree in a related field preferred.
