Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job description

Responsibilities include:

1. Manage molding & assembly operations to meet quality, safety, and production schedules.
2. Coordinate, plan, and manage the movement of employees to meet production & quality requirements for optimal results both internally and externally.
3. Develop and implement operating procedures to eliminate problems, improve quality, and reduce costs.
4. Devise and implement root cause analysis and permanent corrective action plans to recover lost production and meet schedules.
5. Actively pursue process and equipment modifications to improve production, quality, and reduce costs.
6. Recommend process improvements in molding and assembly to reduce labor, enhance workflow, increase efficiency, and minimize scrap.
7. Ensure timely production of all orders with attention to quality and budget constraints.
8. Collaborate with the Assistant Shift Leader to enhance their skills.
9. Identify training needs with the department manager to improve operator skills.
10. Maintain daily shift handover meetings to inform personnel of critical issues.
11. Work with cross-functional teams to eliminate waste through continuous improvement.
12. Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify causes of nonconformity and take corrective actions.
13. Administer company policies and maintain high-level employer/employee relations, including safety regulations enforcement.
14. Assist in resolving worker concerns and unresolved issues with Human Resources.
15. Implement new projects from pre-series to series production, including training across all shifts.
16. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
17. Maintain a proactive attitude to achieve best-in-class standards.
18. Perform other duties as needed.

• Knowledge of customer-specific requirements (CSR) through advanced training or experience.

How to convince us

• At least 5+ years supervisory experience in a molding and assembly manufacturing environment.
• Processing molding machines experience is a plus.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Ability to lead and train production and technical staff.
• 5-10 years of processing and/or technical training in plastics is a plus.
• Experience in a supervisory role in molding and assembly production preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented attitude.
