Requirements

Job Duties:

  • Lead a production team, focusing on core values and driving a collaborative mindset.
  • Review production schedules, process flow, data, and activities
  • Ensure and maintain employees’ safety and environmental concerns
  • Produce products and deliver services with maximum efficiency
  • Communicate with internal/external partners about product specifications, purchasing, and current production capabilities.
  • Focus on workflow while balancing many factors including production time, labor requirement, course of action, product quality optimization, removing obstacles, using technology, ERP system, all other tools and resources
  • Utilizing Lean Principles, find ways to reduce waste, improve production efficiencies to mee On Time Delivery and other Production Metrics.
  • Oversee and perform cycle counting; ensure the accuracy of the inventory for the organization
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Understand and implement the 6s Visual Management System
  • Fill out Gemba boards as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Industrial Engineering or related discipline; In the absence of a degree, directly-related job experience serving in a management role in a manufacturing facility, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement

Experience & Skills

  • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt a plus - or Lean training, with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in employee relations, direct labor utilization, maintaining equipment.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and determine effective solutions
  • Ability to identify cost savings strategies and implement promptly and effectively
  • Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
  • Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
