Jobot seeks a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) for a reputable food company in Harlan, IA. The role oversees hourly production workers, schedules, and reporting to drive throughput and quality on a fast-growing team.

With 2+ years of supervisory experience and strong communication, you will ensure adherence to USDA/OSHA/HACCP standards, manage payroll tasks, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct hourly production line workers across assigned shift.
• Plan, organize, and execute daily production schedules; manage line changeovers and downtime.
• Own daily production reporting, yield performance, and labor cost accountability.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and internal quality control standards.
• Conduct pre-shift safety inspections of work areas.
• Process hourly payroll, vacation, and PTO; communicate scheduling needs to Operations Manager.
• Drive continuous improvement in throughput, methods, and working conditions.
• Maintain accurate digital/paper reporting and distribute to appropriate stakeholders.
