Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift on-site in Findlay, OH. This high-visibility role leads daily floor operations, mentors hourly staff, and drives safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

You will report to the Production Manager, manage the shift schedule, and coordinate with other shifts to meet production targets. Local candidates only; no relocation offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising others in manufacturing.
• Experience supervising 10–15 people.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Meet and track production requirements and metrics.
• Lead shift start-up meetings and attend other meetings as needed.
• Communicate with other shift supervisors during shift changes.
• Follow the production schedule and adjust as necessary.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly staff to improve performance.
• Ensure all required training is completed for new and current staff.
• Review and verify shift paperwork and production numbers for accuracy.
• Confirm time sheets and time-off records in the system.
• Maintain shift safety, quality, and delivery targets.
• Conduct performance reviews for line leaders and production employees.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support HR functions as needed.

Location: Findlay, OH (local candidates only, no relocation) | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 2nd shift, Monday–Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (arrive 15 minutes early/stay 15 minutes late; weekend overtime as needed)

Overview

An established manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor for its 2nd shift to lead daily floor operations, mentor hourly staff, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity. This is a high-visibility, floor-based leadership role that reports to the Production Manager and plays a key part in maintaining smooth, efficient production.

What you'll do

• Meet and track production requirements and metrics
• Lead shift start-up meetings and attend other meetings as needed
• Communicate with 1st and 3rd shift production supervisors during shift changes
• Follow the production schedule and adjust as necessary
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate the hourly workforce to improve performance
• Ensure all required training is completed for new and current staff
• Review and verify shift paperwork and production numbers for accuracy
• Confirm time sheets, vacation requests, and time-off records in the timekeeping system
• Ensure shift safety, quality, and delivery targets consistently met
• Conduct performance reviews for line leaders and production employees
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements
• Handle disciplinary actions and support HR-related functions
• Perform other duties as directed by management

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience overseeing others in a manufacturing environment
• Experience overseeing 10–15 people at a time
• Microsoft Office experience, including basic Excel skills
• Must be local to the Findlay, OH area (no relocation offered)
