We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join a dynamic team located in Lancaster, OH. Your primary focus will be to manage and synchronize daily manufacturing tasks to guarantee safe, efficient, and punctual production results.

Your Daily Responsibilities
- Manage daily manufacturing tasks, including task delegation and team coordination, to ensure production goals are met.
- Work alongside Production Planning and Plant Management to balance workloads and reach target output levels.
- Help maintain a consistent workforce by evaluating staffing needs and assisting with the interview and selection process.
- Hold team members accountable to established productivity benchmarks and performance standards.
- Coordinate the movement of materials across the department to help streamline production flow.
- Perform regular floor inspections to track workflow, productivity, and the correct setup of workstations.
- Oversee the execution of proper procedures for both plant start-up and shutdown.
- Foster seamless communication between shifts to maintain operational continuity and safety standards.
- Support accurate inventory management by overseeing material handling and ERP system usage.
- Work with Engineering to help improve work-cell efficiency through motion studies and material flow enhancements.
- Create and maintain standardized work instructions to help ensure consistent training and operational quality.
- Generate and share daily reports covering production metrics, compliance, and shift summaries.
- Uphold company policies regarding attendance, disciplinary protocols, and conflict resolution.
- Lead daily Toolbox Meetings to share vital information regarding safety, quality, and production targets.
- Draft incident reports and elevate safety issues to the appropriate team members to ensure a secure workplace.
- Respond to emergency situations with calm and efficiency, following all established safety protocols.
- Assist Team Leads and HR in ensuring new hires receive proper training and mentorship through regular audits.
- Create improvement plans to help underperforming staff members reach their professional potential.
- Resolve employee concerns and performance issues promptly using effective conflict-resolution strategies.
- Complete annual performance evaluations and provide consistent feedback to your direct reports.
- Manage accurate records for timekeeping, attendance, and leave using the ADP system.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate degree from a technical school or college, or at least two years of relevant experience, or a similar combination of both.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity within a manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to grasp and troubleshoot basic equipment and processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
- Current certification for operating forklifts, including electric, propane, turret, and aerial equipment, or the ability to become certified.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish, French, or Haitian Creole is considered a significant advantage.
- The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, HR, and management.
