Manufacturing Operations Supervisor Pay and Hours:

• $35.65/hr
• Monday - Thursday, 3pm to 1:30am

Purpose: Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and may control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation.

Characteristics/Scope:

• Works primarily through setting direction, deploying resources, and managing others.
• Provides immediate supervision to a team of two or more semi-skilled or paraprofessional contributors.
• Assigns tasks, checks work frequently, and maintains schedules.
• Typically without budget or hire/fire authority.
• Requires full knowledge of own responsibilities.
• Directs junior employees using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Focuses on mentoring, coaching, and coordination.
• Monitors daily departmental operations, with some time spent performing related work.
• Works on issues of limited scope following established practices.
• Receives work assignments that are subject to moderate control and review.
• Incorrect decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of production/manufacturing experience, OR
• Master’s degree and at least 1 year of experience, OR
• At least 5 years of production/manufacturing experience.
