What You'll Do:

Summary

• Lead cell/department activities and associates to ensure a quality product is produced safely, on time for delivery, and within budgeted costs; play a key role in leading and managing change within the plant.
• Identify daily production challenges and find solutions to prevent reoccurrence and meet production schedules.
• Serve as a link between associates and management, supporting associates through changes.
• Assist in developing and monitoring standardized work for direct reports, adhering to Leader Standard Work for your position.
• Audit or assign audit duties for key result areas (e.g., quality, safety, scrap).
• Hold daily cell meetings and set expectations for the day.
• Monitor production status hourly, remove bottlenecks, and take corrective measures to meet daily goals.
• Oversee continuous flow and materials delivery systems, working with associates to improve the process.
• Develop associates to enhance their skills and expand their capabilities.
• Review production schedules and estimate associate hours to complete tasks.
• Interpret specifications and job orders for associates and delegate duties accordingly.
• Recommend measures and changes to improve production, equipment, product quality, and working conditions.
• Initiate and suggest plans to motivate and enforce safety rules.

How You'll Do It:

• Strong written and oral communication skills, along with conflict resolution abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to inspire and motivate associates.
• Root cause analysis, problem identification, and resolution skills.
• Ability or willingness to learn Lean manufacturing techniques.

What You'll Bring:

• 3-5 years of related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
