ebm-papst Inc. is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Telford, TN. You will supervise workers in Pre-assembly and Final Assembly, ensuring output aligns with the production schedule while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role requires guiding staff, implementing LEAN manufacturing principles, and coordinating with planning on weekly schedules. Associates degree in Manufacturing Technology plus four years' related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology with minimum four years related experience.
• Experience supervising production workers in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workers in Pre-assembly and Final Assembly operations.
• Hire, lead, motivate and develop production staff in accordance with policies and laws.
• Ensure output aligns with production schedule while maintaining safety, quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with planning to define weekly production schedules.
• Interpret blueprints and job orders; assign duties accordingly.
• Maintain production records and enforce safety regulations.

Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:

• Manage, hire, lead, motivate and qualify the workers in our production department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Exhibit confidence in self and staff. Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept and give feedback as well as recognition.
• Ensure production output according to the production schedule while ensuring safety, quality and productivity.
• Work with the planning department on defining the weekly production schedule.
• Understand, apply and train the principles of LEAN Manufacturing.
• Ensure to continuously improve production related processes by maintaining an efficient and effective Shop Floor Management system.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders. Assign duties to appropriate personnel.
• Interpret company and department policies to workers and ensure personnel to comply. Enforce safety regulations.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Confer with other Supervisors and other departments to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Use the software programs when performing this job, e.g. (but not limited to) CAD, MRP II, Microsoft Suite, SAP
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
