Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. seeks an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee shift operations, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while collaborating with other departments to resolve production issues.

You will assign work, train staff, maintain 5S, and document essential activities to support continuous improvement and efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years production team leader experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lean techniques required.
• Previous computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to the Production Team to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Assign work to Team Leaders and Production Employees.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to protect employees.
• Engage with team members, encourage diverse ideas, and promote integrity and respect.
• Communicate daily issues to the production manager as needed.
• Provide training to Team Leaders and Production Employees when required.
• Document training for new hires, including 90‑day and annual reviews.
• Handle HRIS approvals and complete production paperwork.
• Maintain 5S standards on the production floor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Work with management to develop process improvements.
• Perform other assigned duties as directed.

General Description

Responsible to oversee and assist Team Leaders and Production employees to ensure we meet organizational commitments regarding safety, quality and delivery. Works closely with other departments to determine, analyze and eliminate problems within the production environment. Responsible for ensuring that company policy and procedures are enforced and adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Production Team to ensure company objectives are attained regarding Safety, Quality and Delivery.
• Assigns work assignments to the Team Leaders and Production Employees.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed in order to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
• Practices strong engagement with direct reports and team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect.
• Communicates daily issues and pertinent information to production manager, as needed.
• Provides training to Team Leaders and Production Employees, as needed.
• Facilitate and document all training for new hires including 90 day and annual reviews.
• Manage team HRIS approvals
• Completes all necessary production paperwork.
• Ensures 5S duties are performed every day on the floor.
• Understands, supports and follows all company policies, practices and procedures.
• Works with Management team to develop process improvement opportunities.
• Performs other assignments as directed.

Requirements

• Five to seven years production team leader experience preferred;
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques required;
• Previous computer experience.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
