Pacific Cheese is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift (2pm start, Mon–Fri with occasional overtime) in Reno, NV. You will supervise the Production Department, ensure safety, GMP compliance, and meet daily production objectives.
Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in production with supervisory experience; an Associates degree is preferred. You will train staff, coordinate with maintenance and other departments, and help maintain quality and efficiency.

We're currently hiring Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift schedule starting at 2pm Monday-Friday (occasional overtime).
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervise and coordinate activities of employees within the Production Department. Monitor and supervise the department to ensure the established standards are met safe work and GMP practices are followed. Responsible for ensuring daily production objectives are met efficiently and satisfactory. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be experienced working with computers and have the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions. Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and the organization. Must be able to speak effectively before groups. Must have the ability to effectively supervise others. Must know and be able to train the Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree desired. Must have three to five years relevant work experience with two to three years of supervisory experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with occasional activity performed in a warehouse type atmosphere where the temperature is approximately 32 degrees. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit various parts of the facility. Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other equipment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule upon request and be able to travel to the company’s various plants with notice.
