SUMMARY:
The Supervisor Production will play a pivotal role in maintaining high production standards, ensuring top-notch quality, and achieving optimal yields—all while fostering the safest working environment possible. This position demands a deep understanding and control of the production process, meticulous record-keeping, and effective general line maintenance and staffing.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Oversee daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Team Coordination: Ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line and supervise Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to promote ergonomics.
- Machinery Oversight: Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection and maintain accurate records of reworked or returned products.
- Safety Promotion: Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
- Team Building: Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, provide encouragement, and perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
- Problem Solving: Work with other supervisors to solve problems and provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
Shift: This is a 2nd shift position
