Core Responsibilities
  1. Supervises production employees on assigned shifts to ensure production guidelines are met within established timing, quality, and cost standards.
  2. Trains, directs, coaches, and leads the production team in day-to-day operations.
  3. Drives communication of production goals and objectives.
  4. Performs daily walks and visual inspections of the Production floor.
  5. Maintains safety/environmental self-audits & visual checks.
  6. Ensures all staff are aware of the Food Safety and Food Quality plans.
  7. Adheres to product specification requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
  8. Maintains adequate knowledge of products and equipment.
  9. Ensures tasks are completed in accordance with HACCP and USDA regulations.
  10. Suggests changes in work flow processes to increase efficiency.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching, or mentoring.
  3. Knowledge of SAP, Internet, Spreadsheet, Word, and Order processing software preferred.
  4. Previous food processing experience and supervisory experience preferred.
  5. Bilingual a plus.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  7. Strong problem solving, math, and analytical skills.
  8. Ability to motivate, train, and coach employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides leadership and guidance to employees on the Production Floor, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment characteristics & physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:

  1. Wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat.
  2. Working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  3. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
