Job description

Group Leader - Generally Assembly Production

Shift will rotate every three to four months. Must be open to 1st or 2nd shift.

Schedule: Monday-Friday. Saturdays are a possibility of 2 out of 3 Saturdays work.

Shift timings: 1st shift: 5:30am - 3:00pm; 2nd shift: 3:30pm - 1am.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Requirements:

• 3 years of manufacturing experience with supervisory experience in a Union/UAW environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
