Join to apply for the Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift role at PPG

As a PPG Production Lead, you will ensure equipment operation by coordinating repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques, and recommending improvements. You will be a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our facility in Delaware, Ohio. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will have managerial responsibilities for production employees during the night shift (3 pm to Midnight, Monday through Friday). You will also analyze manufacturing data and maintain production records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the assigned Production Area, focusing on safety, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
2. Achieve manufacturing goals by setting clear expectations, planning daily tasks, assigning resources, and monitoring performance.
3. Recruit, mentor, counsel, and coach employees on performance and procedures.
4. Manage production progress, optimize workflow, staffing, and resources; implement cost-saving and recovery strategies.
5. Maintain accurate shift production summaries and compile reports on processing flow.
6. Collaborate with fellow supervisors to resolve employee issues using data analysis to identify solutions.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, including at least 5+ years in a lead role.
3. Proficiency in Workday and digital skills.
4. Experience managing processes, implementing changes, resource planning, and scheduling.
5. Experience with Lean, process improvement, and 5S practices.
