Join a rapidly growing food manufacturer as we expand our state-of-the-art facility on Long Island, NY. We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to direct daily operations, drive efficiency, enforce food/workplace safety, and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and schedule hourly production staff and Line Leads. Coach employees and cultivate a positive, safe work culture.
- Shift Operations: Interpret order specifications, establish priorities, and manage labor resources to meet target output and deadlines.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce USDA/FDA guidelines, conduct routine safety inspections, and verify finished products meet quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs (productivity, quality, safety), troubleshoot operational issues, and support maintenance initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience: Associate degree (or equivalent experience) plus 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments.
- Industry Background: Food processing experience (USDA/FDA-regulated) preferred; Raw and RTE experience is a plus.
- Languages:(English/Spanish) is required.
- Key Skills: MS Office proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and the physical ability to walk the plant floor and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Interpret job order specifications and assign responsibilities accordingly.
- Partner with management to ensure production goals and customer deadlines are consistently met.
- Inspect products and packaging to verify conformance with established quality and safety standards.
- Lead and supervise hourly employees, ensuring proper training, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with operational procedures.
- Communicate and enforce all company safety guidelines and food safety protocols in alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
- Establish or adjust work procedures and priorities to meet production schedules.
- Analyze and recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Recommend and implement changes to working conditions or equipment usage to enhance efficiency and overall department performance.
- Investigate and resolve work-related issues while providing guidance and support to employees.
