Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking a Production Supervisor for a well-established food manufacturer. You will lead a team of about 25 on a 12-hour night shift (Thu-Sat, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM) with training on days for 6–8 weeks.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supervising production personnel.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and ERP systems.
  • Ability to lead with safety, quality, and accountability on the floor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production personnel to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Maintain product quality standards and verify compliance with food safety and procedures.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
  • Complete and review daily production and quality documentation for accuracy.
  • Utilize internal systems to create and track maintenance work orders.
  • Coordinate labor and raw materials for plant testing and execution.
  • Monitor test results and communicate findings to departments.
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees.
  • Drive accountability and performance while fostering a positive team environment.

Job description

A well-established food manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of approximately 25 employees in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance while ensuring daily operations run efficiently and customer expectations are met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and creating a culture of accountability on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise production personnel to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Maintain product quality standards and verify compliance with food safety and company procedures
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility
  • Complete and review daily production and quality documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Utilize internal systems to create and track maintenance work orders
  • Participate in plant testing activities, coordinating labor and raw materials required for successful execution
  • Monitor test results and communicate findings to appropriate departments
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees
  • Drive accountability and performance while fostering a positive team environment
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience supervising production employees
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations
  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
  • ERP system experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule:
  • Thursday-Saturday (5:00 PM-5:00 AM)
  • Ability to complete approximately 6-8 weeks of training on day shift
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food or beverage manufacturing experience
  • Bakery manufacturing experience
  • Experience supporting food safety and quality initiatives
  • Familiarity with automated production equipment and manufacturing systems
