Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a supervisor for our Tacoma, WA plant to ensure safe production, manage cylinder gas operations, and support regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team, drive efficiency, schedule production, investigate incidents, and coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications include 2+ years supervisory or 1-2 years cylinder processor-lead, knowledge of cylinder gases, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, or 1-2 years cylinder processor-lead experience.
• Production or distribution experience required; industrial gas industry or equivalent experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of cylinder gases and processes of each.
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies including FDA, DOT, OSHA and EPA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with customers, employees, management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and CU.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate cylinder gas production to meet demand and monitor stock levels.
• Maintain the facility’s appearance, image, and security; provide training and support career development; supervise personnel.
• Drive productivity initiatives to maximize plant capabilities and efficiency.
• Manage day-to-day employee activities; conduct accident/incident investigations; complete reports with accuracy.
• Support efficient product distribution and maintain professional interactions with customers.
• Respond to emergency calls; conduct monthly safety meetings; assist with SOP implementation; monitor plant asset usage.

• Maintain the facility’s professional appearance, image, and security, while providing job training, supporting employee career development, and supervising personnel fairly to promote motivation and empowerment
• You will drive productivity initiatives to maximize plant capabilities and improve overall operational efficiency
• Manage day-to-day employee activities, conduct thorough accident/incident investigations, and complete all required reports with accuracy and detail
• Support the efficient distribution of products while maintaining professional interactions with internal and external customers
• Respond to emergency calls, conduct monthly safety meetings, assist with SOP implementation, and monitor the proper usage of plant assets

Pay Range: $80,168 - $84,000
